Medvedev - the Grand Master

Hey w1z4rd,

Steady on broer, ek was self op die grens in 1980 en 1981. Ek is op dieselfde kant as jy. :) Having said that, I spread my news net way wider than you may imagine. My conclusions are based on history (as yourself) and obviously the current world stage. As to your comments regarding Russian (internal) media propaganda, of course that occurs, its called rebuilding pride in the nation. To be fair if you compare Russian Media to Western Media (CNN, Fox, et al) no prizes for spotting the propaganda slut. :) Invading sovereign nations based on PROVEN lies, takes heaps of propaganda.

To pack the whole shabang in a nutshell, the Russians are seizing the moment to re-establish a bi-polar world order. The lack of which created the American madness that has cost thousands of innocent civilian lives.

Grrr.. .scum propaganda liars. I hate them.

Me too, broer, me too. :)

With the invasion of a sovereign country, the Russians have crossed the red line.
(Interview with Former Secretary of State Albright: http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/0,1518,575599,00.html )

From Madam Albright. Of course in her own backyard ...

Bush knew Saddam had no weapons of mass destruction

Sept. 6, 2007 | On Sept. 18, 2002, CIA director George Tenet briefed President Bush in the Oval Office on top-secret intelligence that Saddam Hussein did not have weapons of mass destruction, according to two former senior CIA officers. Bush dismissed as worthless this information from the Iraqi foreign minister, a member of Saddam's inner circle, although it turned out to be accurate in every detail. Tenet never brought it up again.

Lets compare the total destruction of a sovereign nation "Iraq" with the limited military intervention to protect Russian citizens and interests. To quote a famous chef ... F@%K me!

Until Russian economy reigns in top 5 economies, and projects real political power around the world, it will be considered a third world country or second world at best. Putin should first build up the country like the China is doing and then can challenge the other nations. Chinese know that and building up queitly...

Just because you have oil/gas and nuclear bombs...

Think USSR. Then think Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Then add India. And ... Soopazalabeem! you have the new World Economic Order. Its only a matter of time.

You say you base your conclusions on history... then clearly you know about the people involved in the failed KGB coupe, and clearly you can see their positions of power now. Using history again, you can see the general kinda leaders Russia chooses.

Im not saying Putin is weak. He is bloody strong and a million times smarter than Bush.. which is why he is deadly. Start including financial deals with Gazprom, and start researching how Putin took control of Russias finances with the aid of his FSB buddies.

Seems like anyone in power who doesnt give the FSB control of their company end up in prison by selective use of tax evasion laws.

Working countries dont kill their journalists, they have working democracies. Putin knows that what he has taken by force can not be held with democracy. If Russia loses its enemies, Putin no longer has a job.

He cant afford that to happen. As for building a country.. thats simply not a good enough reason mate. Very real lines can be drawn between Hitler and Putin, the Russians and the Germans.

Like Hitler, Putin had a nation that had lost its pride. Like Hitler, Putin has resurrected a failed economy, like Hitler, Putin has started rebuilding his armies, like Hitler the russians have an extreme youth movement going (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/4491633.stm), like Hitler, the use of propaganda by the Russians and what it has achieved so far is used to build the nation.

This is not idle line drawing, this is very real and happening now. This whole who invasion of Georgia doesnt remind you at all about Hitlers annexation of Austria and his desires for the Sudetenland? Surely man....

Luckily as South Africans know.. Russian hardware is kak. If french mirages could kick the ass outta their MiGs back in the day, F22`s will make mince meat outta the weapons they have today.

How can this be good? Seriously now, give me reasons why Russia having this power, and abusing it is good. ITS BAD!!!!!! For every "good" reason you may come up, bet I can come up with 10 that are bad. Common man.. theres no critical thinking here at all.

I do know by your posts, that you do not have enough information on the background to Putin, the failed KGB coupe, the people involved in it, and the last 5 years of Gazprom's shenanigans.. I really think you should read up more.

This is not good for anyone. Putin needs a war to stay in power. He knows this.

Personally.. I hope EU/US forces actually finish the job. We need no more Hitlers, Stalins or Mugabes in the world.

You need to get over your hard on for Bush`s politics.. and see Russia for what it is. Ill also remind you that Russias support of Mugabe has lead to thousands killed as well.. and hundreds of thousands tortured and beaten. Ill also remind you that Russians are corrupting the ANC, and the ANC are selling them massive tracts of South African land and South African business in under the table deals. Russians.. not Americans.. are helping destroy South Africa. The US actually gave SADC nations 4 billion rand. The Russians gave violent groups more weapons. Priorities man.. priorities...

Just so I can understand your hypocrisy? Why are you not in arms about China in Sudan? Or what they are doing in Tibet? Why are you not in arms about how Russia is in Chechnya? (were thousands more people have died?). Or are you perhaps bias?

Ill say a be fk you to anything to do with the Russian government. They are scum, and so are their supporters.

Though I wont disagree too loudly in their country. I dont wanna be radioactively poisoned :p

Fair enough. I can see where you are coming from. Unfortunately the US has not been choosing notably more moral or less bloodthirsty leaders. Waterboarding is all the rage today.

The present US administration are up to their necks in insider dealing. Who benefits financially from the Iraq (to name just one) war? Who owns these companies?

He he. You are out of touch broer.
Journalists were detained at gunpoint and lawyers representing detainees were handcuffed at the scene.

I understand the (patently obvious) similarities, but don`t you think Russia`s Eastern neighbor would counter balance major imperial objectives? Now is not the time. The future? Can`t tell yet.

This is not idle line drawing, this is very real and happening now. This whole who invasion of Georgia doesnt remind you at all about Hitlers annexation of Austria and his desires for the Sudetenland? Surely man....

The facts support an (American inspired) Georgian assault on a civilian South Ossetia. The western media hypocritically and fraudalenty misrepresented the facts.Russia used limited force to protect its interests. Are you seriously questioning the obvious tension US and NATO meddling in former Soviet nations is creating? Russia is being systematically surrounded by the US and NATO. What happened in Georgia was just the bear growling, and reasserting his territory. And rightly so. What the f@%k is the US and Israel doing in a nation thousands of miles away from their frikkin borders? And when it came to the crunch, Georgia got dropped just like SA did in 1978/9. The only visible imperialistic initiatives are coming from the US. And unfortunately, the recent and not so recent US track record speaks for itself.

Luckily as South Africans know.. Russian hardware is kak. If french mirages could kick the ass outta their MiGs back in the day, F22`s will make mince meat outta the weapons they have today.

He he. No shit.

How can this be good? Seriously now, give me reasons why Russia having this power, and abusing it is good. ITS BAD!!!!!! For every "good" reason you may come up, bet I can come up with 10 that are bad. Common man.. theres no critical thinking here at all.

Critical thinking 101.

Post cold war.
1. Russia has yet to abuse this power.
2. The US has been abusing this power steadily and increasingly.

I do know by your posts, that you do not have enough information on the background to Putin, the failed KGB coupe, the people involved in it, and the last 5 years of Gazprom's shenanigans.. I really think you should read up more.

Fair enough, I will swot up on this. :)

Personally.. I hope EU/US forces actually finish the job. We need no more Hitlers, Stalins or Mugabes in the world.

Then why do the Bushes, Reagans and Thatchers put the fear of god into me?

You need to get over your hard on for Bush`s politics.. and see Russia for what it is. Ill also remind you that Russias support of Mugabe has lead to thousands killed as well.. and hundreds of thousands tortured and beaten. Ill also remind you that Russians are corrupting the ANC, and the ANC are selling them massive tracts of South African land and South African business in under the table deals. Russians.. not Americans.. are helping destroy South Africa. The US actually gave SADC nations 4 billion rand. The Russians gave violent groups more weapons. Priorities man.. priorities...

He he. Bush giving me a hard on. Now THAT is sick. :D I see your point. On the other hand sanctions against the old SA did not help. Depends on the fashion of the day.

Just so I can understand your hypocrisy? Why are you not in arms about China in Sudan? Or what they are doing in Tibet? Why are you not in arms about how Russia is in Chechnya? (were thousands more people have died?). Or are you perhaps bias?

Simply put. Tibet is a regional Chinese issue. Chechnya is a regional Russian issue. Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, North Korea, et al are NOT regional American issues. I need to swot up on China/Sudan. I oppose any type of imperial meddling which leads to innocent people suffering.

Ill say a be fk you to anything to do with the Russian government. They are scum, and so are their supporters.

It seems you have a bit of a HORING for Putins politics.

Though I wont disagree too loudly in their country. I dont wanna be radioactively poisoned :p

Or commit suicide when you are about to disclose that Iraq had no WMD`s? :)

Streched mate... lol. Seriously. This post is about Russia, the fact that you are trying to justify their actions against that of the US.. shows you.. something must be wrong.

FYI, "Pravda", the above newspaper's name, translates to "Truth".

Imagine a newspaper named "Truth". If that's not Orwellian, I don't know what is.

The Pawn is trying to corner the energy market. Abiotic exploration principles coupled with the use of force.

ROME (Reuters) - Russia aims to extend its control over energy deliveries to the West and it is important that European countries push forward on efforts to diversify routes for oil and gas supplies, a senior U.S. official said on Monday.

As Vice President Dick Cheney visited Italy to seek support for Georgia after its brief war with Russia, the official, said: "The fact is Russia has worked hard to try to corner the market, so to speak, and is working to foreclose options to transit for those energy products across Russia.

"They want everything to come out through Russia and a lot of us think it's more important that there be diverse means of gaining access to those resources," he said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

"No one country ought to be able to totally dominate those deliveries."

Are you talking about US foreign policy? Sounds like the US Iraq/Iran expedition.

While there could be something behind this death. You cant compare it with whats happening in Russia where even webmasters are being killed.

Sanity is starting to prevail. So the Western Media was either misinformed, or distorting the truth. What else is being distorted?

Speaking at an event organised by the German Marshall Fund in Washington, Ms Rice acknowledged that Georgia had fired the first shots in the breakaway region of South Ossetia.

"The Georgian government launched a major military operation into Tskhinvali [the capital of South Ossetia] and other areas of that separatist region," she said.
"Regrettably, several Russian peacekeepers were killed in the fighting," she added.

Obviously its OK for America to enter sovereign states at will. What a frikkin shambles the US is in. Double standards willy nilly. Come back John Wayne all is forgiven.

Asked by the BBC if Pakistan had authorised such air strikes, he said that the US would take "whatever actions necessary" in self-defence.
