I believe magic does not exist. It is a trick designed to fool the observer. It is sleight of hand, or something else, but real magic does not exist.

Think of a number. Add ten. Subtract the number you were originally thinking of. The number you have is ten.

Magic exists; there's an entire field of study devoted to entertaining people with tricks that appear to be impossible.

You might be referring to paranormal, or supernatural, events, which don't exist.

Seriously? You want to say that Clarke's definition of magic should be reworded to avoid confusion with cheap stage tricks?

Nope. Pretty much everyone understands that magic is entertainment, not supernatural or paranormal influence over things.

"Hey, want to see a magic show?"
"Really? He can really alter reality? How is that possible?"
