Mafia 2

Everyone who voted for 11parcal is suspect in my book now. Anyone voting when we have no idea who is town, is really stupid or really suspect.

I trust Enmos so far.
 
You know what... i'm doing some figureing - the townsfolk are screwed now. They have no chance of winning. there was too many mafia this game or too much was resting on the (lazy) cop's shoulders.
 
I know I'm not allowed to post? But this is a rules clarification. There is actually one mafia member who is really a cop/townie.

Initially, I voted for BlueMoose, which was random. BlueMoose and Challenger78 then both targeted me. But we decided to trust each other. We voted out 11parcal.

11parcal, of course, turned out to be town, which is a real shame, but there was no way of knowing. The police officer didn't do his job and help the town. I hope he will tell us his investigation results today, otherwise the police officer is a wasted role.

But if you're thinking I manipulated the vote to get 11parcal because I am mafia, consider this: I was not the person who suggested we vote for 11parcal. That was BlueMoose's suggestion. Check back if you don't believe me. I agreed to go with BlueMoose's suggestion, and so did Challenger78.

Now, we know BlueMoose was town because the mafia killed him. So, he didn't know 11parcal was town, and neither did I.

I know Cheskichips voted Enmos, but I could see no reason to change my vote to Enmos at that stage. 11parcal was just as likely to be mafia as far as I was concerned.

And, of course, I wanted to make sure I wasn't voted out.

As things stand now, I know I was right to trust BlueMoose. I can't be sure about Challenger78, but on a balance of probabilities, I think it is most likely he is mafia. He voted 11parcal as well. Since I am town, 11parcal was town and Bluemoose was town, that leaves 3 townspeople (including the alien) and 5 mafia, so chances are that the only other person to vote for 11parcal knew that 11parcal was town. Therefore, I conclude that, most probably, Challenger78 is mafia.

Who else is in this game?

Betrayer0fHope has been abducted by aliens, so we don't have to worry about him right now.
We know CheskiChips is town, but he doesn't have any better information about who is mafia than the rest of us.
Enmos hasn't registered a vote yet in this game, so I have nothing to indicate whether he is mafia or not yet.
MZ3Boy84 hasn't been sighted in the game thread, I don't think, so again there's no info.
nietzschefan also doesn't seem to be participating much.
phoenix2634 is another person who voted 11parcal. In my book, that makes him possible mafia.
unixgeek13 and Vaiorom haven't put in an appearance yet, I don't think.

With the police officer again not reporting to the town, there's still not much to go on here. Since the only solid information I have is past voting patterns, my prime mafia suspects now are:

Challenger78
phoenix2634

I hope that the fact that I'm laying out my reasoning processes to this extent will help convince other townspeople that I am trustworthy. Ask yourself: would I really go to this much effort and analysis if I was mafia? I'll tell you: if I actually was mafia I would lay low. I would be like those other players here who aren't posting at all. I'd just wait for night to roll around, as long as I wasn't going to be voted out. Then, I'd put in my "kill" vote for the night. During the day, I'd sit back comfortably and watch the town tie themselves in knots of speculation.

What I'd like to know right now is:

* I'd like the police officer to do his job and inform the town about his investigations. Otherwise, the police officer is either really a mafia member or just useless.
* I'd like Enmos, Challenger78 and phoenix2634 to try to convince me that they are not mafia. Give me reasons for why I should trust you.
* I want the non-participating players to start talking. Anybody who doesn't talk will be automatically under suspicion from me from now on. And if you're not going to participate, why play anyway?

Why? You couldn't know that 11parcal was innocent, any more than I could. Do you suspect Enmos?



Trust me: it wasn't staged. I now have stronger suspicions of Challenger78 than before. In fact:

I don't think the alien will necessarily abduct people who vote for him/it. Actually, does abduction mean that the abducted person's vote for arrest doesn't count (Asguard?).



Or, phoenix2634 is mafia and he went with the flow because he knew 11parcal was innocent.



Why can't Challenger vote this round? I don't understand.

Look, I can see why the same logic as I have put above tends to throw suspicion equally on me as on Challenger. But I don't see Challenger making the same kind of arguments I'm making. Surely you can see that I am obviously town and am doing my utmost to try to work out who is mafia?



Bad move leaving it to the last minute. I think the town needs to vote early. If we happen to vote for a mafia person, then the mafia will have to scramble to change the vote. It forces the mafia to act, and thereby reveal themselves.



You have things backwards. I followed BM's lead, not the other way round. Check back if you don't believe me.

Whats to say all three of you are not all in the Mafia.
 
yes but it makes no sence to do so as his\her job is to abduct as many people as possable without getting caught.

secondly by my calculations there are still 6 townspeople (including the alien) and 4 mafia
 
oh and about the aliens, abductions occure at dawn so if they are mafia there vote counts that night and there vote counts the day before.

once they are abducted they are out of the game for 1 day night cycle and then able to paticipate but not vote (because no one belives people who have been abducted:p) the next day night cycle, you must also talk apsolute gibberish and any infomation you request (for instance an investigation if your the cop) will be random for that time

By the way the front page says abducted, no participation for Challenger however Betrayer is behaving abducted. So I think it needs correcting.

Reasoning:
Enmos doesn't want to vote for James.
I don't think James wants to vote for Enmos.
James R. will vote for Challenger.
Challenger will vote for James R.

Vairom will vote for James R.


So the question...why won't Enmos vote for James R?
Well I have a feeling that Enmos isn't mafia...but he still won't vote for him...but he's willing to at the last second.

So the question is why?

James R is mafia? Challenger is potentially mafia? Enmos is not mafia? nietzschefan...well no one knows.
