Made For Another World

"Creatures are not born with desires unless satisfaction for these desires exists. A baby feels hunger; well, there is a such thing as food. A duckling wants to swim; well, there is a such thing as water. Men feel sexual desire; well, there is a such thing as sex. If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world."

-- C. S. Lewis, Mere Christianity, Bk. III, chap. 10, "Hope"

Or maybe........ you are never satisfied? Or give up looking too easily.

Have you ever tried a really well made enchilada, with a frosty cold margarita? Works for me every time. Of course the alcohol might have something to do with it.

I think it is a clever well written thought by a talented man.

Does it have any real significance other than the enjoyment of a fanciful thought?
No.

All it implies is that he has not found what he has been looking for.
