Looking for Guides

i am fairly young and have very recently stepped into the world on my own two feet with no clear path ahead of me. over the past few years i've been questioning an empty feeling that i've always had, and i've started to trust in certain beliefs. i've had some unusual experiences in my relatively short life, but nothing very noticeable or regular, but the thing is, i want to be connected to the earth and higher thought. i want special abilities and a feeling of completion. i feel like there is something in all of us, and i truly feel something strong in myself, but i don't know what it is or how to find out. is there anyone who would help a young bird find her wings?

Seeking direct communication with a benevolent spiritual entity like Christ,
Buddha, Ali, Yaweh, Krishna, Siva, etc . . . is likely very superior to seeking
help from any human. If you are not in touch already, I would pursue one
that you can respect and identify with.

I think all deity is benevolent; thus, enough faith to ask for help should
get the ball rolling.

I'm no expert but I think that, for most, psi activity is something that
happens to you; not something you choose. You might elaborate on your
unusual experiences and see if it triggers concern with respect to someone
elses experience.

As far as "special abilities" goes, a willingness to journey uncommon paths is
likely yield uncommon knowledge/rewards.

I think mentoring is valuable for becoming(change) but not as purposeful
for instinct, intuition, regression, self-realization & enlightenment because
I think these may be paradoxal to time as it is commonly perceived.

I'm by no means a counselor but hate to see this plea go unanswered.

FlyingOwl,
It is no consolation I suppose if I say that it is not unusual for a person to find themselves searching for purpose in life. The sinking feeling of dispair associated with the inability to see which way to go is not pleasant.

Most people at some stage or another experience this yearning to make a difference, to strive for the extraordinary, and in most people they acheive it in their own special way.

The best advice I have is to work to help someone else achieve what you so much want and in doing so learn how to achieve what it is you want.

Learning to be the love you are and helping others to see their inner beauty and how to love better is a good start.

Some where out there is the ideal spirit guide and of course that ideal spirit guide is the perfection of yourself. Ultimately this is your best guide, your best support, the perfection of you that you will become, and when you realise you already are that unrealised perfection you have achieved a small miracle.
But these words or even your thinking upon them is not all there is to it. You must experience your own realisation.......to be that realisation.

Best of Luck
Scott

I like your answer, Quantum Quack. There’s no better way to mastery than to teach as if you are the master.

Flyingowl, what you need is bootstrapping, as in “a process that is self-initiating.” The secret is to pretend like you have what you seek. Thank God every day for the special abilities and a feeling of completion that you have. You need not be religious (you can even be atheist); God is irreligious. You need not know how this works. Just pretend that it does. Be patient. Eventually you will not only realize that it does work, you will know why it works. Then you will share the secret with others as I am doing now, in the way I am doing now.

Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

There you have it, flyingowl.

Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach.
Sometimes you need a mirage and sometimes you need the water.

That will be $64,000,000.00, please.
