As the expanding universe
like a spinning figure skater extends her arms
the spin slows down
As the infant black hole collapses
and grows smaller tucking in its arms
the spin speeds up
The fabric of space time
eddies
whirlpools
stagnates
water falls
spreads thin
speeds in a current
and plunges to great depth
Like fish in water we go
more or less with the flow.
If a surface craft
sinks to our depths
we could call it a ufo
To go against the flow of spacetime
in a craft and not just our minds
could be the greatest leap of mankind.
