Life on Mars

The Mars Odyssey (MO) spacecraft has made its first significant discovery: it has detected large deposits of hydrogen - possibly water - near the Red Planet's poles.

That gives hope that many millions of years ago, there could be a lot of water flowing in rivers and lakes and LIFE...

Wonder what form of life there was in the distant past may be just 100,000 years ago? or 65 million years ago?

Geologically speaking, 100ky isn't all that long; any life that survived to then has a chance of still being alive today.

And of course, water at the poles comes as no surprise. There's water vapour in the atmosphere, for example.

However, the water does seem to be there in quantities measured by the shitload. There was an article in Nature a few weeks ago thatgave a (compelling, I thought) argument for the channels being made by CO2. Copious quantities of hydrogen (okay, water) lend probability to the rivers hypothesis.

What would life look like? Well, it'd be very, very, very, very small. And bacteria shaped.

the UFO folklores have even said that the face on mars and various pyramidical shapes are built by an engineered effort and that past civilization was there in mars as well...

The reason I put this in pseudoscience is to speculate wildly without getting chastized on the science aspects of it. If grown men can chase little balls and create billion dollar industry, we surely can speculate without reservation.

So, let your imagination flow...can an underground civilization exist? Suppose you find out that your planet is doomed due to a large meteor that you do not have the technology necessary to thwart, then what you will do? Can you start digging under major mountains and setup sometypes of society under? You have water, you can extract the oxygen and use hydrogen for fuel and any CO2 can be scrubbed and sent up to the surface.

First speculation post by me

The Phobos mission sent to mars has sent a cigar shaped object photo very very similiar to same cigar shaped object as seen under Appollo-13 missions.

apparently Phobos missions has an interesting history.
when it was launched,it was a success.the problem began when it started sending photos of various unexplained objects etc.the first set of photos released had a typical flying saucer photo with a shadow clearly shown on the ground,when asked in press conference about it,reporters asked what it was,they got this reply:
a shadow probably.
reporters asked:
a shadow of what.
reply:
of some object that shouldnt be there.

the next day press releases of the photos of Phobos missions was disbarred.Phobos was still sending great photos. later due to some internal error it was lost in space.the Phobos-II mission has a very similiar history.Apparently Phobos-II mission was also a great success,untill it again sent a photo of the same object with various different angles.and you know what the next day Phobos-II next day started having some radio problems,and press release of the photos was halted as done before.

coincidently you may say,some of the SPECULATED UFO photos sent by APPOLLO-13 had very similiar cigar shaped and flyng saucer kinds of objects in it.

the pyramidical sahpes have a very interesting pattern.all the angles are accurately measured to of 60 degrees and there's one large at center of great built which looks like a colony of sort.

during a press conference after pathfinder missions one of teh press reporter after seeing a photo suggested a shape of face of Humanoid kind.NASA laughed it off by saying that it was just a reflection,later on when many photos were released MARSIAN FACE photo when taken from different angles conclusively suggested that photos were really of a human face.
