Very well then, let's say you use that term then instead...

What then, does any of this have to do with our death?

We both shall die, and that's it... so what?
Death is has no bearing on aesthetics.

I don't know, I haven't died yet, let alone come back. I was saying that the only difference between you and I until we die is simply if you are a good person or bad person. I don't believe you are different from me, because you believe in nothing, or because you have a certain color eyes, or that you have more money, or a better education, etc. I believe that good and bad is the only thing that seperates people, that is how you should pick your friends and enemies.

So can a person be good and at the same time be an atheist?

It's not my intentions of being right that I'm considering. It's what I perceive as good.

If I kill you and eat you, is that a bad thing?

LOL, that is why you need to forget everything you learned and start over.

If you have any reason left, you would do well to answer, "yes."

Do I? Why?

If you have any reason left, you would do well to answer, "yes."

Why? I'm looking after myself. What if we're both starving to death and there's no way the both of us are going to survive?

Ofcourse. I am a Muslim for example. I have a Muslim friend, that lies, cheats and steals, etc. I would stay away from him after seeing those things. I have an atheist friend, that is honest, shares when he has and is respectful. I would be friends with such person. The intentions are the obejective and beliefs are subjective.

Do I? Why?

You let your beliefs make your decisions in your life, and not your actual intentions that you were once trying to achieve.

Why? I'm looking after myself. What if we're both starving to death and there's no way the both of us are going to survive?

Well, you did not say that. You never heard of "One for All and All for One"?

You see, stupid things like that is what makes me a good person.

Then it's safe to say that you and glaucon are the same.

I don't let my beliefs do anything, because I have none.
My intentions come from my reasoning.

Sweet, I'm going to write your name down on the list of people who would let me eat them.
:D

LOL, how can this be. He hates me. He searches threads where I post, to find a post so he can give me a citation. The same on opposite ends maybe.

I have beliefs, but they are mine. I have intentions which are mine, however my intentions define my beliefs and who and what I am today.

I don't see anything wrong with that at all, if what you say is true.

LOL! I said "One for All and All for One." That means we both starve together or we both eat together/

There isn't. The only difference between us is the motivation behind it.

I try to be "good" because my parents taught me, and even though they can't see me, I always ask myself what they would think of this and that. I love them very much.

You try to be good because you believe that that is what god wants.

My parents would be totally ok with me eating you though, as long as I don't spoil any of your flesh. That's what I mean by good and bad not really existing. Good and bad are nothing but what you think they are.

Screw that! I'm changing you to the list of people I must eat whether they'd like it or not.

I am talking about our objective destination.

John 3:14
Jesus said... I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Sinse you dont beleive the above what do you thank you'r destinaton is.??? (below is a hent)

Matthew 7:14
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Well, as long as you don't say good and bad does not exist, it means that you do acknowledge the actual bad and good and the rest is just...Good, very well.

Honestly I eat some pretty junky food. I probably taste bitter.

That means I will burn in hell. The bible condemns me to hell, for not believing, Jesus was the Son of God.

"When Jesus came with explanations, he said: "I have brought you wisdom, so that I may explain something to you about what you have been differing over. So heed God and obey me! God is my Lord and your Lord, so serve Him. This is a Straight Road." - Quran.

"He has instituted the [same] religion for you [Muslims] as He recommended for Noah, and which We have inspired in you and recommended for Abraham, Moses and Jesus: "Maintain religion and do not stir up any divisions within it." -Quran.

I think it is obvious why I read the Quran instead of The Bible.

Ah... so you are a seeker of whatever "truth" tickles you'r ear.!!!

No.

You don't find the quotes from The Quran to seem more truthful than the quotes from The Bible?

You don't find that some quotes actually seem like the actual rules of God, and some quotes to be the work of evil men?

"So We saved the Children of Israel from shameful torment, from Pharaoh, who was haughty, so dissipated. We chose them knowingly ahead of [anyone in] the Universe; and gave them signs which contained an obvious test. Yet the latter kept on saying: "There is only this first death of ours; we will not be raised again. Bring on our forefathers if you have been truthful."

They say: "Nothing exists except our worldly life!
We die and live, and only fate destroys us?"
