Is it possible to "upload" information in the brain?

well if you had cybernetic memory enhancement, the answer would probably be yes. *shrug*. i wouldn't be surprised if that stuff happens < 40 years from now.
 
like the stuff in the matrix, most likely no, as it would require cybernetic components in the brain that could memorize things instantly and accuracy, the way are neurons work we can only learn effectively though repetition. If skills were to be implanted it would take a very long time to program the neurons. Cybernetic memory enhancement would allow us to upload skills and us them instantly with perfect quality.

yes! maping of the hippocampus has been completed and cybernetic implant design to replace it and/or bridging it to other part of the brain are in testing with rodents. It could be less then a decade until we see people with short-term and short-to-long term memory disorders with implant to replace even enhance this functions.

there was a article in a scinetific american about this a few month ago.
