I hope that my life is never tied that closely to only one person. Americans are split on what we want. principal says that we should look beyond skin or sex. we are only human and harbor pre judgements on attributes that we assign to groups. We also feel uncomfortable with that which we feel is different. That is why it will always be harder for a minority to win. We wil find some excuse to not vote for them. whoever (them) is. It is far easier for a woman. they are the majority.

You do realize that white Christian males have at no time constituted a majority in America, right? Even if they entire country were white and Christian, they STILL wouldn't be a majority due to longer female life expectancy.

I never said race was real. Genetically, despite what a lot of people say, most Black Americans, racially, are the same as Latino, basically genetically a mix of native america, european, and african genes. In some cases you have people like Tiger Woods who are mixed with Asian genes.
Then you have the rest of America, the so called white race, which is just as mixed as the so called black race, as most whites and blacks share native American ancestors, or European ancestors, it's basically the same race throughout this country.
Basically if we look at Latino's, thats the current race that the majority of America is, with the exception of people who just got off the boat and recent immigrants, almost everyone has that one Native American ancestor, or that one European ancestor, or to be simple, almost every family has a light skinned or dark skinned individual in it.
Now, there is difference in the amount of mixed a person is, clearly some people are more mixed genetically than others, but if your family has been here for 500, 600+ years, considering the history of this country, chances are you've been mixed, even if just one of your ancestors had sex with a native American, that makes at least 1% native American.
So how long until we have an American race? It seems Latinos are ahead of us in that area, as they already have that concept. So in general, someone like Barack Obama, or Collin Powell, or Condeleeza Rice, or any of these folks, they are American at this point genetically, and have more in common with Americans than Africans. So at this point race is not even genetically accurate.

Louis Farrakhan as President would cause the country to completely collapse! Farrakhan would divide everyone in such a way, that it would be even more divided than it is now, it would be religiously divided between Christians, Jews and Muslims, and racially divided because somehow Farrakhan thought it was a good idea to give ridiculously racist speeches.
If Farrakhan were able to become President, who will be next? David Duke? Some people should just not even be allowed to run for President. It's not that I have anything against Farrakhan or Duke, but I don't think either of them would make a good President as both would be toxic for the country.

And no, I don't think ordinary average people should run for President either. Bizzy Bone is an average guy, like the majority of people in this country, and while he may be talented at communicating to the average man in his music,
do we really want an average President?
Regardless of what his race is, the President needs to be intelligent enough and most importantly, psychologically stable enough, to handle the responsibility. We do not need bipolar or psychological unfit Presidents if we can choose a President who would be mature for the job.
I think Hilary and Obama are both stable, Hilary is extremely strong, and intelligent, Obama is intelligent and even tempered, these are the kinds of personality types you want as President or Vice President.
Women are not a minority, women are the majority and still can't seem to win. It's not even about race and minority or majority, the majority of this country will be Latino culturally, and genetically it already is mixed. It's only a matter of time.
I mean really, if you are a white male, don't you get tired of seeing people who look like you running everything? If the country is run into the ground, or if something bad happens, don't you get tired of being the one that everyone blames? Everyone blames it on the white man because white men insist on always being in the highest position.
Who else are people going to blame, when in every workplace, the boss is a white man, and the President is a white man, and even at college campuses most professors are white men?
I don't see how it's good for the country, to operate in this way. When it comes to politicians, these people are representitives, sometimes just puppets, they don't have to actually RUN the country, they just have to be the spokesperson for the country, the representitive.
Now, wouldn't it be nice if the entire country had a turn being the Representitive? I mean really, if the same faces and appearances are always at the top, it's going to make people in other countries start to think that maybe our country is the most racist country on the planet, and maybe our country is dominated by white males, sexist, etc. All I'm saying is, it can't look good to the world community.
I'm not saying it's going to change overnight, but it would be a great accomplishment to have a black President, a female President, a gay President, just so we can say it's possible, just so we can finally move beyond these issues. Really, whats so bad about having a President who does not look like you? Why is it that only white males, want to have the President always look like them?
I don't hear white females saying this, they vote for white males all the time. I don't see blacks, or asians, or any minority group refusing to vote for white males when they run. Many females and minorities voted for Bush, if there were an ultra conservative black female running for President, like Condi, why couldnt people vote for her?
