Suggestibility rises with intelligence. The more intelligent you are, the more suggestable you are.

This is generally not a bad thing, it's important to be able to learn new ideas and complex concepts quickly. The problem is, if you learn more quickly, sometimes you learn bad ideas quickly also.

Can you elaborate on that? Are you refering to physical traits? People are born healthier than others, and some develop faster than others, sure. Culturally, some people gravitate towards certain things, while others may not. But culture is everything a human is. Some cultures don't see certain things as detrimental or immoral. There are many types of culture; biological traits, societal, memes, and education. Educational trait is probably the most influencial and causative. A long time ago when Neantherthals saw each other, they never said "there's a white man... he's coming to exploit us", or "there's a black man he will steal our property". However as soon as man started identifying skin colors and phenotypes, coupled with the progression of isolated cultures, we started the race issue, which doesn't make race any more or less real by the way. You see, everything a man knows is by culture. Humans are ready to terminate each other by culture. Humans may have created culture so why would they destroy for it? Because humans create things in their own image. A good example is the term "Humanity".

America is still extremely sensitive about race issues, and having a black President will therefore upset too many people.

having said that, i think that you choose the person based on his personality, connections (i.e. who he represents), and actions (what he has done / supported). be it black or not black, it's not what determines things.
 
Many of us detest pluralism, and will never vote for a black, Asian or Hispanic president.

It doesn't make us ignorant. It makes us realistic, which all the "learned" people fear more than death.

I think there should be a black nation for Obama to rule. Or, my favorite candidate, Cosby.
 
I think it would be a good change to have a black, or women presidant but the majority of americans arent ready yet, i honestly dont think they ever will be unless whites somehow become the minority.

Osama says that there is no division between whites and blacks, which is a laughable assertion.

It plays into the hands of Hilary Clinton because most poor blacks in the USA can see through Osama for the conman he is.

The real question should be "Is America ready for a Female President?"

The answer is a resounding Yes!

However, four years it was 'Possibly, just as long as it isn't Hillary Clinton'.

I was asked by both British and American scientists to 'prove Astrology'. A prediction that London would win next years Olympic bid was accpeted until the result came back. I was right of course.

The scientists immediately changed tack. 'Ahh but it was merely a 50/50 guess!' came the angry dismissal. Conveniently forgetting that at the time of the prediction London were virtually at the bottom of the pile.

What does this have to do with Hillary Clinton?

Despite being mocked by my mentor John Frawley...who quite rightly pointed out that the type of people who posted on forums were either ranting extremists, muppets or internet geeks (I'll put myself in the latter group!)...yet again I made another attempt to throw down the gauntlet.

I made the bold prediction that as Hillary Clintons chart had some extremely powerful aspects that would eventually come to fruition I would stick my neck out and suggest that she would be the next American President after George Bush. Which still stands to this day.

At the time I was laughed out of the place. All the Americans pointed out that hardly anyone liked Hillary to such an extent that she was unlikely to be elected anywhere at all let alone as President. They're not laughing now.

As Frawley said 'why bother with these people'.

Why indeed.

Given what we have, probably even willing to trade for black woman president!

I also not Ibama is relatively young. - He can wait until 2016 etc. to try to be president. Hillary can not. Perhaps Conie Rice will run against him then and the thread's question will be moot.

Hillary is kind of insulting herself in the section you quoted. I view it as a indirect support of Obama! :)

Obama being young is a good thing. He isn't so young that he is at a disadvantage in politics, yet still young enough to be truly progressive. In any case, Obama's best chance is probably now. It is also a good time for someone like him to be in office. I don't see any benefit in waiting for 2016.

Obama said "the time of the baby-boomers is over". Finally, a forward thinker! That was music to my ears.

Probably more than the average American. I can still vote, carry only a US passport, etc. :cool:

In this internet age, not too important where you sleep each night as far as how well informed your are. :p
 
The thing is that America is ready for a Black or a Woman president, just not the selection that is now avalable, a strong Margret Thacher type or Condelliza Rice, would make it, or "J.C." Watts, or Michael S. Steele
 
I'd vote for Condi, but not Hillary.
I also think Condi would make a good NFL commissioner.

No, America is not ready for a black president, not yet, It's going to take a while for racism to die down, along with the surge of republicanism associated with the war. And since there are still people watching Fox...yeah, no dice.

He made a huge error by disenfranchising the black vote by saying there was no seperation between a White USA and Black USA.

Without poor black americans voting for him he is nowhere.
