I don't think that a simple bacteria project is going to cut it for these competitions. You will need to write an incredibly coherent research paper with a doctorate level thesis to even be considered. I've entered them from years 9-12 and I haven't even made it as a finalist yet. I'm hoping to make a run for the "100,000" scholarship my senior year.Thank you very much
