In Dilemma about Confessing your inside

Most of the people who are confessing don't seem to be sorry. What does this say about our society? Is it more sophisticated or barbaric to accept and joke about ones own misdeeds, without remorse? Is it a bit of both?

Very sad that most people seem to be remorseless. The only time you will see someone truly show regret is when there is overwhelming public disapproval, and even then, only some people.
