There's absolutely no reason to keep someone who has been declared to be in a vegitative state alive. Why do we? Surely they can't possibly be useful to anyone or anything alive, they're just another place where society draws your attention away from your other problems. Then, maybe we can use their bodies for research or to feed starving children. Most fetuses have an actual ability to do something. If nothing else, they could be used as slaves raised only for labor and improve our economy. At it's worst, a fetus is more useful than these people. Why not kill everyone hooked up to life support? They'll never do the world any good again. The best they could do is write a horrible book that no one reads. Most of them couldn't even do that.
