Humorous dialogue relating to dietary laws.

I think the only basis for Jewish law forbidding dairy & meat being served at the same meal is the following.
Thou shalt not stew the kid in its mother's milk
Biblical scholars claim that this relates to an ancient religious custom practiced by either gentiles or early Jews.

A lamb was chopped into small pieces & boiled in a vat of milk. The stew was spread over acreage used for crops. It was based on some religious belief. A Jewish friend of mine (I am an atheist goy) with a knowledge of Jewish history once made up a dialogue similar to the following
Does this mean that we should not have meat & dairy at the same meal?

I only said do not stew the kid in its mother's milk.

Should we have separate dishes for meat & dairy meals?

I only said do not stew the kid in its mother's milk.

If we use dairy dishes for meat meals or meat dishes for dairy meals should there be a cleansing process for the dishes before using them properly?

I only said do not stew the kid in its mother's milk.
