One day when I was running the SpaceDaily forum I sent an email to Fraser Cain suggesting a joint forum. Within days he created one but not with me. He did it on his own. Now he's joined up with the Bad astronomer.

I was banned from Bad Astronomy for not spending enough time there. I know. Its illogical. The BA said I wasn't replying enough in my half an hour a week available internet access. So just like that I was banned.

My thanks for the idea of Universe Today having a forum? BA came over and banned me. Again.

True story.

Yes, I get banned a lot. Can't figure out why. Must be my Bad Attitude.

Now what shall I do with this?

Well if I were a mod, I would put a temp. ban on you and command that you sit in the corner for bitching to us about how you keep getting banned from forums. No one pities you.

And telling everyone that you keep getting banned from forums is putting a big red flag on you for moderators to see. It is telling them to keep an eye on you because there must be something about you ban-worthy.

And I think you should keep this all to yourself and try to do some unbiases investigations into your bans.. why were you? Search all threads you posted weeks before your bans and see what you did wrong. Maybe you hassle the mods? Make fun their mothers? Are you just a troll and don't realize it?

I get banned from Counter-Strike server's all the time. I know why I do but it is something I cannot fix. Admins think I cheat. Do I bitch and complain about it? No. I just move on and find another server to play. It seems you get banned, move on, then bitch. Please do not do that.

Maybe I'm right and they are wrong. Assuming guilt where none can be shown is undemocratic old chap but its a good point. I could be a Troll without realising it or I might be an overly honest charactor who doesn't see any need to worship people undeserving of it.

I was never banned from Universe Today. I posted there for years. I was banned within days of it becoming BAUT.

What does my post count have to do with being a mod? There are plenty of people with over 2,000 posts and they are not mods. And besides, I haven't been around here in a long while. I think I made 800 posts then left for some time.

Well I was not actually assuming you are guily of trolling or of being a person worthy of ban because you have a tendancy of doing wrong. The only evidence I have of guilt comes from what you tell us. I do not know all the forums you are banned from or what those user names are so we can investigate for ourselves.

If you are an "honest character" then we all want to see it. Just as I do, I am sure a large majority of the members here on SF do not have a problem with YOU. :)

A tendency of doing wrong? That's an assumption isn't it? You can ask BA why I was banned but he'll probably ban you just for asking. The threads are long gone from Bad Astronomy. They disapeared in the merger.

Luckily I had the foresight to copy the BAUT ban.

I was frank and acted exactly as I normally do. The only thing different that day was a new "Administrator" called Phil Plait. A Dickhead who had banned me from Bad Astronomy for no reason whatsoever. His first message to me.

ProjectOrion, your attitude is unbecoming. Moreover, being sarcastic to a moderator is not a great idea. Amnesty only goes so far, so I strongly urge you to leave that attitude at the door when posting here.

What a fuckwit. The mod had no problem with me. It was just BA sticking his ugly head in.

I got some helpful advice for you. Next time before you decide you want to read a thread, scan over it first. Pick out random phrases as you spend 15 seconds gazing over it... get a feel for what you might be jumping in to. If it is not your liking, then do not read it. You may have wasted only 2.5% of your time with this thread then :)

And UT, if you read my statement again, I said I was NOT assuming you tend to do wrong. Maybe my phrasing is a bit odd, but I am sure you can understand it.

Anyway dude, as I said before I do not have a problem with you, I am just pointing some things out. I am ending my discussions on this thread. I will not carry any of this anywhere else, either. If you wish to discuss anything else, I am more than happy to participate in some form or fashion. :)
 
I don't have a problem with you either Dude. Text can be wrongly interpreted quite easily. Ofcourse I am a bit cheeky and like to yank peoples chains a little but its all harmless. I'm Australian and we tend to speak pretty freely.

Funny thing... Wayne was permanently banned from NuclearSpace.com also.
 
I know that people like Dr. Robert Zubrin, Phil Plait and all the others do not appreciate being impersonated by a person who uses links to porn sites and phish sites under their names.

Pretty straightforward to me.

Corrupting entries in the Wikipedia is a rather uncivil thing to do.

heaven in those who use network computers that dont belong to them. If this computer crashes...it want hurt me a bit.
