Hi Io

I always thought Io was a great name for a moon. Isn't it a pity we don't have a name for our own moon? Or do we? Anyone know?

Anyway welcome.
Cheers

I think the concensus is that Earth is Terra, the sun is Sol and the moon is Luna.

i always thought it was the moon.... (as apposed to big orbiting rock thingy??)

welcome to sciforums Io.

Asguard ...

Considering that 'Luna' is related to lunatic;

Etymology: Middle English lunatik, from Old French or Late Latin;
Old French lunatique, from Late Latin lunaticus, from Latin luna;
from the belief that lunacy fluctuated with the phases of the moon

What are you figuring on taking over, pray tell?

Take care ;)
