Hello everyone. As you know I'm new here and don't really know if this would be the right catogory for what what I'm about to ask, but here I go. How many of you believe in the supernatural? And I'm not talking about things made of fiction like vampires and warewolves. I'm talking about spirits, ghosts, and the like.
The only reason I ask is because sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who does. I mean I've lived in haunted houses most of my life. Yes, I'm sure that it wasn't my imagination. You don't get bruises out of thin air. Any way, I was just curious if I was the only one who belived in these kinds of things.

bruises are caused by physical trauma

and no this isn't the correct forum this belongs in pseudoscience

Nonsense! Of course you can! The appearance of bruises in the absence of physical injury can occur as a result of numerous different vascular, endocrine or blood disorders. It happens to lots of people. If it's happening to you then I suggest you stop reading absurd supernatural causes into it and see a doctor about it ASAP. You may need treatment!<P>

there are lot of people who beleive in or understand the supernatural. you wont find many on a science forum though. those who are on this forum keep quiet ;)

the physical and superphysical are kept seperate here so as not to offend the ignorant.

Everything that exists in nature is natural,
so, even if spirits exist, they are natural not supernatural.

yet but that would not make sense if she asked does any body believe in nature, people would think she is talking about trees and grass and stuff, when she say supernature everyone knows she means ghousts and ghouls and those type of things.

but i agree to superphysical is just physical / supernatural is just natural of a higher / subtler, density / vibration.

Why higher?
To ancient Europeans lightning (electricity) was supernatural, to some natives of oceania UN helicopters and airplanes today seem supernatural.
There is no reason to call something that we don't understand (I'm talking in general here) supernatural.

in orders of complexity there are levels of density / vibration. it is a figure of speach that signifies the difference between the states of vibration. the consciousness that exists in the subtler vibrations have less physical restrictions. these consciousness then appear more powerful. superhuman, supernatural. whatever.

[edit]
higher states of consciousness! why higher? figure of speach or becasue of frequencies. something along these lines.

Complexity of what? Atomic structure? Are you reffering to the string theory?
Consciousness is a biochemical and electrical process, nothing "supernatural".
the consciousness that exists in the subtler vibrations have less physical restrictions
Which consciousnesses are those? Spirit? Hardly any evidence to prove the existence of spirits I'm afraid. ;)

But human consciousness has many physical restrictions. For example, try to think clearly and logically when drunk.

what would that prove apart from humans are limited (restricted) by their biology?

Then of what vibration are you talking about?
what would that prove apart from humans are limited (restricted) by their biology?
Consciousness is a process that is dependant on biology (or whatever form of matter/energy that creates it)

Oh, so now you are suggesting new biology? Different level vibrations of life.
Souds like some crackpot theory to me, or you have to explain it a bit more (with scientific data, please).
not in my mind
Of course it affects your mind too, maybe you've just chosen not to accept it, an ignorance.
