Simple, we all have strong opinions about Islam, but have you read the whole Koran?

The same question could be applied to many other religious books (but I wont poll them all).

A friend of mine systematically reads every word of major religious texts, but I don't think it's so necessary. A couple chapters and you get the gist. If one really wants to follow it, sure, read the whole thing, but you can get the general tone pretty quickly.

yes read it a long time a go, and took reference notes, you cannot put a valid arguement forward unless you know something of the subject.
