That was a lot easier that I thought it would be.
The seeds are potatoes. You weren't precisely right as potatoes aren't quite seeds, but close enough that it wasn't worth continuing.
I was thinking that no-one would realise that it was a far off picture of big seeds in big holes,
but of course that looks no different from small seeds in small holes.
I thought it was hard, and it was extremely simple.
There's a message there somewhere.

Have you used that method of sowing potatoes yourself?

I play this game with a science group on Google plus. The flower was used before, and your picture, well, my grandparents were farmers.
