Good with numbers? It's in your genes
Being good at maths is thought to depend on two factors: the inherent sense of numbers that children, and some animals, possess from a very young age, and the formal education they receive at school. How these factors relate to one another and how much this inherent "number sense" varies between individuals had not been investigated, until now.

Pretty interesting to me. Although, not all that surprising. I think everything from being a good cook to being very religous has a large genetic component. I'm looking forward to GATTACA type technology in the not too distant future. Perhaps not the IVF manipulation (although this may be fine) but the ability to DNA test everyone easily should provide reams of valuable information. Children with low natural math ability could be better served by receiving better education in Math while perhaps natural Math students will be quickly placed in high level courses.
