Interesting story indeed, although i dont understand teh scienntific detail. Evidently some people, and increasingly more people have a protein in a gene that has mutateda nd that makes them more sensitive to allergens etc in th eenvironment and much more likely to develop asthma. I wonder if the mutation is increasing greatly and if so why/ Could it be a Gaii influenced genetic response to a too polluted environment to try to control our behaviour to make it less polluted?

I was attended a seminar in which they studied people in finland and people just accros the border in Russia.

The general outcome was that asthma and allergies were more predominant in the clean and hygienic houses of finland, than in the to western standards unhygienic houses just accross the border in Russia. The genetic composition of the population was comparable.

Hence it seems that a major part of the the problem of asthma and allergies lies in a modern clean lifestyle.
