Heyuys, I took a bit of a break from the forums cause of last minute assignments and exams but now I got tons 'o time on my hands and I been pondering something lately.

Well I know this one doesnt really belong on free thoughts, but its nature does. --Most people love games especially the computer ones they're coming out with now. Awesome graphics and speed, etc. But I'm curious about all of your favourites and why you guys think most people usually stick around 1 genre most of their lives.

I went out and bought sim city 3000 about a month ago, played it for 3 straight days (hardcore) and kinda laid off it for a few weeks. I've always liked those kinda games, you know the ones where you deal with making money in becoming a huge empire you know, and stuff like that. Around the lines of strategy. I've always revolved around those types, but dont kid yourselves, I enjoy the games where you kill small innocent creatures for no apparent reason, too (not).

What kinda games do you guys like, and do you think you were bred to like them, raised too, or what? Will you ever change?

THE Best games ever created:

Medal Of Honor (All Titles)

Counter-Strike (Half_Life Modifcation)

Black & White (You can set an entire villiages people on fire)

Aliens VS Predators 1&2 (Beautiful, just beautful)

elbaz there's a great thread already going under nerd culture called gamerz. Check it out and join the discussion.

Agree with Tristan---Aliens vs. Predators---great games.
Always liked the adventure/RPG games, been playing those for years.

Best games ever:

Dragon Warrior III (great plot, turn-based combat, character and monster designs by Akira Toriyama)
Graal (multiplayer)
Soldier of Fortune (though I always watch someone else play it; I like it for the dismemberment, blood, and silver .44, it's a bold, bold game)
The Sims (I've wanted it for a long time and then I had the chance to buy it and chickened out...)

Bought Wipeout fusion for my PS2 yesterday.... Mmm yummy :)

Great games: Frontmission on SNES, Roadrash on Megadrive/Genesis, FinalFantasy VII, GTA3, Unreal Tournament, SSX and so on.

Also fallen into the Sims trap. It is highly addictive. Boring but still not :)
