Games you were/still are obsessed with

I would if I had more VRAM. I'm looking around for a new computer though, so I should be set pretty soon. I found some incredibly awesome comps in the range of $500-$1000 though, and they really kick butt. Then I'll worry about War3. Right now I'm trying not to think about it. If I do I might cry or something. I want that game.:(

Yes, I noticed your avatar is the "call to arms" button. I was like you, once, Lesion. I'd reccommend just getting a lot more RAM (having a total of ~256mb) and a new 32 or 64mb RADEON. It's a hellofa lot cheaper and you'll have a great computer you can work with. I'd estimate the cost at around 150-200$.

My current comp is loaded to the brim with crap, and it glitches like crazy. Programs will close on there own, and the Blue Screen of Death will occasionally pop up for no reason. Besides, it's a family computer, so I can't use it whenever the hell I want. I need a total overhall, strictly speaking, and would much rather have a spiffy new private comp. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, unless you talk about Worms or Descent, I lack the knowledge to participate in this discussion.:(

Worms kick butt! I only own the demo for Worms: Armeggeddon, though. It's still really fun. I can't find the PC version, but the dreamcast version costs $5 now on Amazon. Super sheep forever!

My most addictive games of all time are:

Unreal Tournament (Played it since the day it was released, getting 2003 first thing Friday)
Total Annihilation (Skirmish is so damn addictive)
Jedi Knight 2 (That with the decapitation mod = WOW)

With regards to PD and Goldeneye, when I play it 24/7 then play multiplayer against friends, I die. But, if I leave it for 6 months, i kick ass. It's always happened to me. Why?

I was addicted to WORMS 2 for a while

I'm currently playing Wolfenstein online almost every waking moment latley.

Shut the frel up about Jimmy. Neutron.

I have a muthaboard that has three RAM slots. At the moment I have 2 512mbs in there. Getting another next week, so 1.5gb of RAM, woohoo

God. That is a lot of power! I want a machine that makes people who see it say "Words like big and large only begin to describe this thing."

Thanks, but the downside is I only have a PII processor and a GeForce2 400MX. It can play all the latest games well, but I'm not happy. I'll probably nab one from work next week

dell is brand...brand is a lot more expensive. In Latvia noone buys brand pc's , because it's stupid. Here we just buy parts and stick them together ourselves. No- not all users, but there are companies here, which do that, put pc's together. It saves your money and the pc's are not worse than ibm or dell.

The place that I work, they bought 32 PC's for under £5500. bargain. They were all descent and first hand too.

ff7

ff7 for the ps-one, its the best game ever made, and i pity you who have not played it...
