Sounds like the story told by many confused teenagers trying to make sense of religion. And very much like my own story a long time ago. A real break should come if he begins to think clearly rather than emotionally.

Avery impactful message

The first thing I noticed about this essay is how it smacked of truth. Why would anyone want to go to church if it's boring and not fun? The second thing I noticed was how much it reflected my own opinions, feelings and experiences. I would never go to church if the message wasn't relevant, wasn't impactful on my life or if going there was boring. Fortunately, it isn't. Just for example, last month a large group from our church took our cars to the drag strip. Burning rubber in a lawful manner-- now that was fun! We didn't have to get drunk, high or cuss to do it either. I really enjoyed this essay and I plan to share it with some friends. Thanks for posting this link coolsoldier!
