I was looking over a wiki page for fluid dynamics and came across the line ...understanding nebulae in interstellar space and reportedly modeling fission weapon detonation. in the first paragraph. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluid_dynamics

I can't comment on secret weapns, but fluid dynamics apply to everything, basically it is motion with certain contexts.
In order for certain dynamics to replicate themselves on a larger scale requires a change in the forces acting on molecules.
You can create a whirlpool in the kitchen sink, but for that to happen in space with a galaxy is another thing.

It does not have to be water to be fluid, a star can be fluid, and a galaxy can act like fluid, and each will have specific dynamics.
