Some of you probably didn't know this, but, there were 48 male and 7 female Prophets in the Jewish tradition. I sort of worry that probably the prophesies of the female prophets were written (and made up) by men.
But, I did wonder if they took a different tone? I mean, do women prophets teach things with a different angel compared with male prophets? I'm pretty sure they wouldn't take a large number of husbands for example.
That got me to thinking: Are there any religions started by female prophets? What are the sorts of ideas they teach? Are they quite a bit different compared with patriarchal religions? How would they compare with say Buddhism?
