Feds Bust Terror Plot at JFK

Its amazing how much news these claims generate, but no one really hears the conclusions.
 
NEW YORK — Three people were arrested and one other was being sought in connection to a plan to set off explosives at John F. Kennedy International Airport, officials close to the investigation said.

The plot, which never got past the planning stages, did not involve airplanes or passenger terminals, according to the two officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity because details of the arrests had not yet been announced. They did not elaborate on the specific target at the airport, one of the nation's busiest.

This is another set-up by an informant. These patsies did not have any bombs, guns, or other devices. They did not actually do anything or even prepare to do anything. They talked about it (according to the informant). It's another manufactured PR ploy to try to build support for more war on Arabs.
 
I don't care what they do to 'suspects'. I'd much rather not have a 'suspicious-looking' person that's not involved in anything detained to find out what they're doing than let all the suspicious people go free and end up with a few terror attacks a week.

Weigh the options people: One person inconvenienced or getting your ass blown up by a terrorist.

Anyone who is mad at the Feds for detaining suspicious people should be the next people that get killed by a suicide bomber.

I suggest we volunteer Foley for that position. He shouldn't be worried about it because he claims it all entrapment anyway. :D Maybe we'll all get lucky and be rid if him. ;) Actually, I've got a few pounds of ammonium nitrate fertilizer that I bought for my garden. I'll donate it if someone feels the urge.
 
wow... it is like a set time frame thing, every two weeks feds come up with this spicy story... always involve some arabs or muslims and then always a plot and always an informer and always the same people.. I am so relax now that these people are caught , now i can sleep well at night, all the muslim terrorists are arrested by the feds, that is so cool.

Concentration camps are in building process right now, soon the republicans will put all the muslims in those camps and watch, it will be just like that movie Children of Men.... time is running out... every one watch more "24" and follow that show so you will be saved from your arab/muslims neighbors.
 
We have prevented dozens of terror attacks. The perps are real and yes most (all?) of them are muslims. No surprise here folks. The most disturbing part of all of this is when they are home-grown morons who want to blow us up. Those are the most despicable imo.
 
I wonder ...are y'all saying that the cops shouldn't have done anything about this? ...that they should have just let the act take place, THEN gone after the perpetrators?

I mean, it just seems odd to me that whenever one of these arrests are made, all of you seem to disbelieve that it was real, or that the cops were just lying, or that it was all a government conspiracy.

It makes me wonder what y'all think the police and the FBI should be doing? Nothing? ..until after a terrorist act takes place and thousands are killed? But of course, if that happened, you'd be screaming about the incompetence of the police and FBI. So.....

So ...what do y'all want?

Actually, Max, the whiners want it BOTH ways - so they can continue to whine. They cannot be satisified because they do NOT want to be satisified, just free to continue their incessant whining.

The liberals don't believe there is a problem with terror. They think we're making this stuff up. If we stop even one terrorist from getting beyond the planning stage, it's well worth it. And remember, we could capture binLaden and the liberals would still never be happy. They hate President Bush that much.

I actually think you're probably more correct than even you and I think.

But I have to wonder, do they always whine like that, or do they only do it on this forum where we're all anonymous? For example, do you know anyone in real life that whines as much as people here do? I've never, ever, known a person who whines as much ...never in my whole life, and that includes my time in the Army, where whining is an artform!

I think it's easier to whine here because it's anonymous. My behavior/ language has been less than stellar. I would probably not say much of the negative stuff I say here--in real, everyday life.

The liberals I know in everyday life are the worst whiners of all. They are NEVER happy. Always complaining about Bush, America, too little entitlements etc. They have a victim mentality too.

The worst offenders are the few liberals at church. No one understands them.

I've always found that liberals can't deal with reality. In their dreamworld, they see everything as perfect, and wonderful, but if one points out or asks them how to deal with such n' such a reality, they simply "dream" it away!

Nope, liberals can't deal with reality in any reasonable way.

Very true - that's my experience also! Here, they can hide behind fake names and be completely unknown to the people who see them everyday. Just shows what true cowards they really are. Worthless, distasteful people at heart - regardless how they appear to those around them in person. Here, they show their true nature.

CBS) NEW YORK Four Muslim men were foiled from carrying out a plot to destroy JFK International Airport, kill thousands of people and trigger an economic catastrophe by blowing up a jet fuel artery that runs through populous residential neighborhoods. :mad:
One of the terrorists said the plot would “cause greater destruction than in the Sept. 11 attacks.” :(

The four were motivated by a pattern of hatred toward the U.S., Israel and the West.

One of the suspects, Russell Defreitas, 63,a U.S. citizen native to Guyana and retired JFK employee, said the airport was a symbol that would put “the whole country in mourning.”

Abdul Kadir of Guyana and Kareem Ibrahim of Trinidad, were in custody in Trinidad. A fourth man, Abdel Nur of Guyana, was still being sought in Trinidad.

Defereitas first talked about the plot at the Queens Center mall with an FBI informant in August of last year. The FBI says they recorded several of the conversations between the two.
“Anytime you hit Kennedy, it is the most hurtful thing to the United States,” he said on a recording made by a police informant. “They love John F. Kennedy like he’s the man ... It’s like you can kill the man twice.”

Here's the thing...you wouldn't believe anything. The suspects could have had guns, ammo, and explosives, and you'd still say that it was an elaborate ploy by the Bush administration to help build support for the war on terror.

Well, the fact is that these plots are real. How much more evidence do you need that these people are trying to attack us? Attacks on embassies overseas, two attacks on the World Trade Center, and now this. I mean, are the feds supposed to just ignore this stuff?

Well, we used to have that policy; the one where we just don't take anything seriously. And then 9/11 happened, because we didn't take anything seriously.

But I suppose this skepticism is well-deserved. The Bush administration lied about Iraq's WMD capabilities, and used that lie to bring our country into a needless war. So nobody believes anything they say anymore.
