Faulty idea of Nice War

Alexander the Great. He did destroy cities. That was one strategy. He also spared his enemies and reinstated them after the defeat on the battle ground. He also took over cultural aspects of conquered nations.
Sure, the Great was using all the tools of politics.
The point is that he did not stop militarily before he destroyed any resistence and its carriers. It was his way to be left with friends only, when the conflict ended.

A short-lived empire
Alexander's success was of his personality and genius. Nobody was able to match those as his successor. But world was changed, as provinces stayed as he has set up them.

Fools and cowards are anti american, so no wonder you wish our distruction.

spuriousmonkey, the reason military rag on each other is Esprit de Corps, if I was at the pub with Spacemansteve I would rag him for being a Kangaroo Ranger, and He would Rag on me, no offence, lotsa good beer, and a great time, There are many excellent units in armies all over the world and I have ultimate respect for them, and they return the same back, they are my brothers by the trial of combat so we have a understanding. No we haven't got our ass's licked, we have been sold down the river by the likes of you and the political people you support, but the Military of the United States in the end have never had our ass's wipped.
