electricity to stimulate muscles?

if electricity causes our muscles to contract, then would it be possible to implant small electrodes into different muscles and control body functions?

Well the premise is wrong (not electric, ionic) but the conclusion is true. Pacemakers and taser sort of prove it.

You probably can, the discovery of bioelectricity was done by such an experiment. I think it was Galvani who was dissecting frogs and the static electricity from his scalpel made the frog's leg kick. Then again the frog was dead...

Maybe we can use it to control the dead!
We could but they would only move around for a few minutes at most, unless we get their hearts pumping and lungs breathing their only enough ATP for a few contractions. Perhaps we could control the brain dead? A volunteer Bush as the first test subject.
