Effects of Skepticism

Skepticism means an attitude of doubt or a disposition to incredulity either in general or toward a particular object & its synonyms is UNCERTAINTY which can exist in a skeptic.

I just thought that why other systems which are observed effective, fails on skeptic of any system-- can it be as a result of some physiological/phychlogical or cephalic type effect triggered/manifested by becoming skeptic?

I just mention some relevant snips:-

1. "These data suggest that the sensory attributes of food may play less of a role in modulating CPIR(cephalic phase insulin release) than an individual's psychological attitude towards food."

2. "You probably know that "cephalic" refers to the head. So the cephalic phase can be said to be all in your head! The smell, sight, or thought of food triggers the cephalic phase. And the cephalic phase is heightened by hunger. 30 - 50% of all gastric secretions occur during the cephalic phase.

Can you contribue in it bit truely?

Best wishes.

P.S. The name of the topic subject was wrongly typed. It was meant as: "Effects of Skepticism". Moderator, Can you please change it?

Is it related to "placebo effects"? How much the effect of allopathic modren medicines can be dependent of this effect? Few patients may find that few doctors and few brands(of same generic medicine) better suits them even though all other factors remains the same. Is it not due to this effect?
