TC, take 3 flashlights and put a red, green and blue filter over each of them (one each). Shine the lights at the same spot and you will get a white light.

If its in a sealed vacuum flask I imagine it should be slightly cooler than room temperature, but the problem is how cold was the water that went in to start of with?
How do you know that the 3 beams are not just blending together and become one frequency made of the 3 frequencies?
Light is an illusion, but EMR is not?

They are blending together but the wavelengths aren't changing. What would be the mechanism for wavelengths to change simply by shining the 3 separate beams at one spot?
By the observed white light that we see when the three primary colours merge.
I have my 13 year old grandson next to me, and he is laughing harder then when we took him to the circus last month to see Bozo the Clown.
The mechanism is massless, the 3 beams have no problem mixing together to become one, no different than mixing paint.

Mixing like paint would be subtractive color mixing. The additive process is what is applicable with light.
