does God talk to you?

Good question.
I wrote this a long time ago when I was pondering a similar question.

Searching
Don't take my lips, please take my hand
I fear this is the end
Lie beside me and comfort me
I just need a friend
I see this world as a desolate place
A wasteland God forgot
Death stands before me smiling
He knows my every thought
He promises to take me to another world
Better than the one I'm in
He tells me I'll be happy there
Although he knows I've sinned
I've searched for so long within and without
For a reason to resist him
I find it so hard because I don't feel alive
For so long I've been merely existing
I've looked all over to try and find God
But I have seen no sign
Death tells me he's abandoned me
And left me far behind
I don't want to believe him
But do I have a choice?
I pray to him every night
But does he hear my voice?
Should I believe the golden promises
Of this specter named death?
I've tried to survive in this world I'm in
What choice do I have left?
I'm here to share my thoughts not ask
What I should do
I care for you too much for that
I wouldn't burden you
For all I know this vision is God
Trying to lead the way
He just may want me to accept his hand
God wouldn't send me astray
They say that life's a perfect gift
God has blessed us with
They say too that Heaven's a dream come true
One must be a myth.
The great worm of Mordonia talks to me on a daily basis. He provides comfort when im ill and laughter when im miserable.
Some people call me mad in the head but i say NO! who art thou to judge my belief? It must be fact because the Great worm of Mordonia told me so!
My proof comes from some of the oldest texts known to man. Chinese writing often spoke of a great worm. Of course it never mentioned the worm being from Mordonia, but i say the truth was coded and those silly old chinese folk never understood.
Repent ye sinners before it's too late and the great worm of Mordonia burrows through your intestinal tract.
