Whether cooking with cellphones is possible or not, according to a recent BBC Article the public in the boroughs of San Francisco will be the first to have the operational radiation levels actually printed on their cellphones.

Some might consider that large corporations telling consumers "Cellphones are quite safe" should be enough, however such advents as the recent BP Oil Leak should identify that sometimes the corporations don't care as much about their consumers compared to how much money those consumers part with to use their goods or services.

Having the information made public will either alleviate concerns from people actually doing the mathematics, or expose that the phone companies are actually endangering lives.

Obviously for those of you that blog, getting hold of the phones with the print out's is a guaranteed website hit since people outside of the San Francisco area are going to be interested in just how many mobiles it would take to cook an omelette.

"This is about helping people make informed choices," said the law's chief sponsor, Supervisor Sophie Maxwell.

No Sophie, it's about you being a fucking moron. Cell phones broadcast about one watt of energy. These days, they automatically vary their output depending on how close to a cell tower the handset is, to preserve battery life. If a phone has less power, simply, it will have less range, it in no way implies it's 'safer'.
