This is what the average public thinks when they hear "cloning", due to media articles lke this and the movies. While a clone would be a newborn copy of the parent, or some lost previous child, physically, it is a new individual, just like any other infant.
The biggest dangers I see from a underground rush to do cloning for money is shody work that leads to genetic problems. Morally I see no big deal...you're not photocopying anyone.
Here's a question...IF you could duplicate the original environmental exposure for the clone, would it become the same person, ie like this article implies happens by default? Good test for the question of soul vs. no soul.
