Christians support human sacrifice...

Pascal's Wager, as the man points out, is fundamentally flawed and seriously screwy.

Supposing a supreme being exists, ad said god judges people based on if they believe in him or not, regardless of action, then that god is a childish, jealous prick and does not deserve worship nor acknowledgement in the first place.

Which is why systems or ideals based around acts and good works, rather than theological position, are the ones which make the most sense, and are better suited to humanity as a whole. Such ones include Buddhism, Wicca, Humanism, and various Pagan traditions.

Even if Christians did support human sacrifice and other things you agree with, you would still have a fanatic hatred of them.

... OK, only the one time. But still...
There are many curious things that Christians believe and yet don't believe in at the same time.

While I'm NOT an atheist, this make more sense than much of Christian belief.

And so it begins:

In both videos, the concept of God and religion is at such a poor immature level, i wonder if they are being serious.
It's the same old BS.
Do they have any real arguments which actually include God as described in ANY scripture?

:wtf:

The word proves the book and the book proves the word.

"...religion is at such a poor immature level..."
Proof that you don't truly believe. See, you even said this, your words.

Ok, A little parody on those little tracts thumpers do so love to hand out.:D

Any one know a messiah we can sacrifice? It's been soo long and I think the Jesus mojo might be wearing a bit thin.

Can’t people put their won thoughts down anymore?

Or is a thought only a thought if it is on youtube?

I don't watch Utube rants.

That statement has nothing to do with my point.

Yes it does. As in: God as described in ANY scriptureThe whole 'book/word' thing

WTF, are you talking about?
My parody was taking something you said completely out of context to make my point, as often folks do in general, and to the bible in pecticular.

ALL the Bible say...

... OK, only the one time. But still...

And so it begins:

Biblically speaking, true christians do the sacrifice of thanksgiving and not to sacrifice humans inasmuch as this is evil in the eyes of the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.

Even if Christians did support human sacrifice and other things you agree with, you would still have a fanatic hatred of them.
KMA.
I think human sacrifice, in general, is barbaric. And I think the 'Christ as sacrifice' concept is blood thiristy and macabre.
I don't "hate christians'; I deplore the foisting of the religon.

I rather like much of what is attributted to Jesus' words.
Bad sentence, that.

I mean to say the 'sermon on the mount' is one of my 'primary position statements' i.e. I hold it in high esteem.

Shouldn't this post be locked? Its intended to attack religion, oh wait, its only critical of Christianity, so it should be left unlocked, only threads critical of atheism should be locked...

By the bye, you're right, my response had no REAL connection to what you said. I was pointing out how a person can twist another's meaning using direct quotes.

Another example: "And Jesus said 'Go and sin...' "
(as opposed to "Go and sin no more." )
