Yes, it does seeing as I lived there. Further, that "fact" does not imply anything other than the population of Christians "decreased" due to the following (most likely)

1) Population increase, therefore PERCENTAGE decreases
2) Emigration
3) Conversion

We have entire towns that are Christian in Syria. Also, the words of Syrian Christians, then, should be enough for you? Go ask some.

If you are seriously denying that the bulk of Syrian Christians are happy, then that is beyond argument; you deny fact.
