Carl Sagan's 'Cosmos' online in its entirety.

Thanks Kenny, I'll keep this up as a sticky for a while to give everyone interested a chance to peruse it.

Excellent! I loved watching his shows way back in my teens! It's good to see them once again!

I managed to download 1 through 11 but google took them down. The DVD set is coming out soon.

I still have an old copy of the book - got it for my 9th birthday. As I recall, some American tourists in the bookshop were highly amused to see a little British kid asking for that particular tome...
Loved the space art in particular. Why the <bleep> did Google have to kill the download?

Carl Sagan was a genius. His insights are an inspiration.
Wait, he smoked pot almost on a daily basis. How can that be? I thought pot made you stupid. I guess he should be labeled as a degenerate pothead.

May he RIP.

He was a revolutionary exobiological thinker. Perhaps the pot helped him sail strange new seas of thought..? Much as it helped the Beatles with many of their most famous compositions? (Although of course, Sagan's writing was rather more structured and understandable than the lyrics of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" or "I am the Walrus"...)

You're right, but I don't think his potcapades were widely known until after he passed away. It's just that he's one of my prime examples I use in defense when <moron apologetic anti-pot advocate> starts preaching/lecturing everyone about how bad pot is for you.

You'd be suprised at how many people, very smart and successful people, smoke pot on a regular basis. Go Carl!

I already have it. I downloaded it awhile back, about 3 years ago. It is an interesting video if you have the time to watch 14 consecutive hours , or one episode at a time.
