Can We become resistant to CMs?

Hello,

Effects from Natural and unnatural substances to us/our body are two
type of considerations which is commonly thought. Natural means here: those substances to which we have inherent sense of right and wrong not just naturally produced substances or in natural form.

Since our evolution till today, our body have evolved or become
habitual to many substances to which it can properly recognize, easily
and suitably process. So such substances can be treated as natural to
our body even though, they are in natural form or not. So "old is gold"
is thought.

Many modern food, modern environment in big cities and conventional
modern medicines are newly developed which can be in some unnatural
form to us, not common and persistent to our body and to which we are
not yet evolved or become habitual.

Accordingly, those substances can cause a stranger, antigenic or
foreign body type effect to our body which can be an unnatural,
confused, shocking, adverse or toxic. Now my questions are as under:-

1. Will such effect from above mentioned newly developed modern and
unnatural substances be a unnatural, confused, shocking, adverse
or toxic type effect to our body or not?

2. If yes, Will our body not resist and become resistant to these
unnatural modern substances alike bacteria become resistant to
antibiotics?

3. If yes, can't these unnatural modern substance--conventional
medicines will become ineffective on us when we will become resistant
to these?

4. How much time our body may usually take to become resistant, habitual or evolved to any new substance?

Best wishes. :m:

I consume both natural, biogenetic-engineered food, and unnatural food (spices, food containing preservatives, alcoholic beverages), and my body has no type of "toxic" effect or reaction. My body does not "resist these unnatural modern substances."

I'm not clear on what you are asking?

But does your body tolerate these foods alike fruits? Moreover these unnatural foods may not be so strong as medicines. Furthur, how can you come to know if some damages which are not immediate noticable, may come suddenly at later date?

Many factors can also contribute to the general weakening of the immune system:

Poor eating habits, and alcohol abuse;
Drug use (particularly the use of anti-cancer drugs, corticosteroids, and antibiotics);
Radiation;
Exposure to environmental toxins, chemical, cigarette smoke, polluted air; and
Stress (research show that psychological stress can greatly increase your susceptibility to colds, and other viral diseases).
The body's immunity also begins to wear down as a person gets older.

Is it correctthat antibiotics can also contribute to the general weakening of the immune system as mentioned in above link?

Furthur, antibiotics may also be killing useful bacteria. These may also be making immune system as dependent/confusing.

I have two important questions in this respect;

It is the duty of immune system to conrol harmful bacteria, but when we
control these by antibiotics, are we not interfering in their work
which may probably result into disabling/misguiding/confusing the
immune system next time on same infection as it may become dependent
for that job on outside aid? So immune system may not perform
similarily as per natural defence mechanism on infection next time. Can we think this also as weakening of immunity?

Can't beneficial bacteria also become resistant to antibiotics alike harmful bacteria become? If yes, what will be the result?

What do you mean by: "Natural means here: those substances to which we have inherent sense of right and wrong not just naturally produced substances or in natural form."

Common Medicine consists of many different types of chemical (organic and inorganic) forms. Most medicine is inorganic. However, snti-viral drugs used against viruses are organic. Their virus counterparts can mutate and can develop a resistance to anti-viral drugs. Then we need to struggle to scientifically research to find new anti-viral drugs to counteract the mutation strains. And thus it goes.

By natural to us I mean, those substances for which we are evolved or hasbitual since long back and our body/system recognize and process with a sense of what is right what is wrong.

Yes. Bacterias are also becoming resistant by indescriminate use of antibiotics. But this effect is on outside pathogens. I am checking effects/long term effects on our own body system and on our next generations.

*Best season's greetings to all* :eek:
