biotechnology bachelors degree

I was just looking for a second opinion on whether I should take this course or not. It is a biotechnology program at Seneca College and in your third semester if your GPA is high enough you can apply for a transfer to York University to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology. I am inquiring whether or not this is a strong field to enter in terms of job demand. I like researching biology but not if there arent very many job openings. Any comments or opinions would be highly appreciated, thank you.

I am currently studying for a Bio-Electronics eng master. I dunno if its quite the same thing...

I think most jobs will be research, but my tutor assures us that there are jobs out there and scope of in this field is about to explode..

Some futurists are predicting that this will be the Century of Biology, as the last was the Century of Physics and the previous was the Century of Chemistry. If this is true--and indeed it shows all the signs of it--there should be plenty of jobs in biotech. But that's still just a good guess, not something you can take to the bank.

Yes, I think biotechnology has the most job openings since it makes products which are useful to the economy and human demands, instead of intellectual curiosity.

And I've heard that Biology jobs in general haven't been hit much by the recession.
