Is giving constant aid to third world countries meaningful, is it ever going
to cure the root cause of poverty?
I suspect it will not and never will.

Free trade is a pipe dream, it may be an idyllic solution.

Who was it that said share all the money in world equally and in a few years the richest will have it back, or some such.

But if all the countries in the world were good budies there would be no need
to spend billions on armaments, men at arms, spy satalites, etc, etc.
Now which country will be the first to give up its military in the intent that
it will promote world peace?
