Are these 3 methods correct, of how co2 is taken back to the lungs to be excreted?

1 -tissue respiration

2 - ventilating the lung

3- gaseous exchange

Respiration in lungs is the answer. It accounts for the periodic concentration of Co2 when lungs respire. It causes the process to occur all over again.

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. Are you asking if each of those processes plays a role in production of CO[sub]2[/sub] in the body and excretion of CO[sub]2[/sub] from the body? If so, then the answer is yes – all those processes are involved. Aerobic respiration in all the cells of our body produces CO[sub]2[/sub]. Gaseous exchange (ie. diffusion) transfers it from our venous blood into the air in our alveoli. Ventilating the lung (ie. breathing out) expels the CO[sub]2[/sub] from our lungs.
