You forgot climate-change-induced infestation of fire ants and killer bees.
thats biochemical war...killer bees and fire ants change climate chemically..... ....nice one....

I think we'll all eventually be extinct by the ice age after our planet gets
knocked out of orbit or changes places with another planet in our solar system. Of Course that is after the Galactic Core Explosion event that
will probably happen as we enter into "uncharted territory" of the universe.

That was totally unscientific, unlike zombies which have been proven to exist (not human zombies yet, just wasps, but I'm sure we will discover them)

I would bet on consumerism, isolation/estrangement..., in other words, Americanization of life as the greatest threat.

Seriously, nuclear war is the obvious choice. They are really really destructive and everyone is getting them.

That relates to the people engineering concept idea fails...

greenhouse effect will kill us in the end, but before that happens, id say we have to watch for nuclear/biological war(we should be relatively safe after 2008 hopefully). but the most likely one for the majority of you, is a global depression caused by all you idiots having money invested in america, who has more global debt than any other country in the world.

well duh...entropy will kill us yeah...but thats billions of years...I am talking of civilization...will we actually be able to reach Mars and other planets/moons to hold our place in the universe? And Greenhouse effect I mean...I know Earth will be destroyed ragardless...maybe by Greenhouse effect...but will humans be fast enough to have someone survived to spread the seeds of life? Ar maybe there are no aliens because every life in the universe has destroyed itself in the early stage of its civilization development? And only some get to actually survive and then create a new world by directing specific comets to planets so that we have the right set of chemical and birth of life and then evolution. Maybe the GOD we all talk about, maybe this GOD is the last human of civilization before us, and when our civilization's last breath will extinguish someone will survive and spread yet another seed to yet another planet.

Zombie epidemic would be the best case scenario. We've seen so many movies on how to survive (go to a mall).

what saddens me is that I was the only one who voted "Peace all throughout...there is no apocalypse"... apparently noone here believes that this world will escape apocalypse...

It's a matter of probabilities, not belief. I think that all the choices are unlikely, but that Other is the least unlikely.

There's also a matter of interpretation... I think that it is reasonably possible that peace throughout will reign, after humanity/civilisation has changed so much that we personally wouldn't recognize it. To me, that counts as an apocalypse, because humanity and civilisation as we know them will be gone.
