May not be exactly what you're looking for, but there is a lot of crap information about this stuff flitting about. Apparently, a disgruntled employee at the main distributor of Neutrasweet put out a defaming letter claiming that its main ingredient caused all sorts of nasty ailments, from headaches to multiple sclerosis.

What about xylitol? You certainly will have to go to the toilet a lot if you use it in excess.
