Andrew Bostom speaks out

I've had a great respect for Bostom's work, and his unflagging conscience to the social issues of religious politics. This is an old screed of his, but well worth the time. In it he raises a point by ibn Warraq: everywhere that islam dominates, social protections fail. Is this, with 54 countries at present count, a permanent feature of islamic society?

Also this: most chilling (and accurate) was the phrase "slow strangulation". Turkey has upped the pressure, of course, in the last eighty years, starting with the Armenian Genocide, which no one ever likes to talk about, it seems.
