I've had a great respect for Bostom's work, and his unflagging conscience to the social issues of religious politics. This is an old screed of his, but well worth the time. In it he raises a point by ibn Warraq: everywhere that islam dominates, social protections fail. Is this, with 54 countries at present count, a permanent feature of islamic society?
