Is the American mail service owned by the government,or private companies.?
 
It's kind of mixed. There's the US Postal Service which is government run and then other companies like FedEx which also deliver the mail. Post Offices, however, I believe are owned by the government.

They seem to want to make everything private over here,regardless of what the consequences are!
 
I THINK old boy that either they are governmentally owned or that any water companies that are privately owned have to adhere to strict standards and severly pay for any ignorance on keeping the water safe.

Oh, and by the way, de nada.
 
The reason that I am asking these questions about U.S. services is because when our ex Prime Minister,Margaret T hatcher,(the old cow),visited America in the '80's shereturned pledging to make our public services more like those in the U.S.
Obviously she must have changed her mind,as she proceeded to sell off all our services to private companies .
Resulting in huge profits for the men at the top - & poor services & high prices for the rest of us.
