KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — Hard-line Islamist students protested in the Afghan capital demanding the repeal of a presidential decree for women's rights that they say is un-Islamic. It was the latest sign of a backlash against the legal protections

Why open that can of worms , keep the can closed.

Afghani education lower than limbo bar, why diss them? Yeah, they stand up now -- the know no better. They were raised in a world which will pass away before their eyes and in their old age as they sit and watch the happiness of their daughters they will know they were wrong. This just simply how the world changes.

The Internet has become the great equalizer. Businesses and lifestyles unheard of in Third World type countries have flourished through Internet knowledge.

As Internet access is gleaned by people who know only what they learned at their farms and through parents will learn via the Internet. This will enable a few things.
a) People will see that Women are Brilliant at Business and Doctors, etc.

b) People will believe in religion less. Current science seems to take away from religions.

c) They will see other options to their religion. In 20 years maybe we will see Buddhists in Afghanistan again.

The world will change fast. It was not so long ago that Women were not allowed to own property or vote in our own countries.

What can of worms is that? Women's rights?

So Afghan women shouldn't have any because it might piss people off?
