How long do plants (and especially fruit) respire after they are removed from their growing place? I put a small grape (about 3mm in diameter!) in a glass of water and over a few hours I notice some bubbles coming out from it very steadily. I don't really know much about this kind of thing so if anyone could explain it that would be great
