Anytime that you accept something from someone else for a "favor" you have taken the money so you have been bribed. If you do not fulfill your obligation to whoever bribed you , you could get into a very big problem with them as well as with who you work for if they were told about your indiscretion.

If you're not you're guilty of criminal deception and theft..

The taking the bribe is in and of itself both illegal and unethical, act or no act.

Not acting on the bribe is more ethical, but the bribe is still illegal and you may well see some fall out.

Not acting on the bribe and reporting it with the money would be the most ethical recovery. Usually it would result in some mitigation of the legal issues as well, but will generally piss off the briber pretty good.
