A question I feel needs answering: Can't we all just get along?

Everyone doesn't think the same, therefore disagreements arise. We can either all get along and be characterless drones or debate and each be unique. Take your pick, but for me I think the latter is better, even if the trade-off is occasionally a violent conflict.

I get along daily.

Please be more specific as to what you would like to get along with. Getting along with Haters and Crankmiesters? Getting along with Racists, rapists, murders, Hitler wanabe's?

Please expound upon your position.
 
Nice thoughts, but I dount if it will ever come true. Human history is full of wars, fights, killing each other. We have shown we can take care of other creatures on Earth, help them survive, but when it comes to our own species, we have shown to be ruthless and completley destructive. Humans have taken death and destruction to a whole new level. There are some people who can kill without thinking twice about it, natural born killers. But that capacity lives inside us all, all it takes is the right buttons to be pushed and our monster comes raging to life.
 
People are destructive by nature. Simple as that. People suck. I hate people.:(
 
I stand by my reply. Have a few serial killers and dictators, or all be the same.
 
Some people are volitile and ill tempered. I don't want to name any names. :D Some people think getting alone is boring.
 
Lesion42 there is no need to rip my head off. I was talking about the general association with violence and our nature to shoot, kill, blow up something.

I'm still kinda fuzzy on the whole "get along" thing.
I once got a long, sharp stick in the eye.
Does that count?
Or maybe if I get a long yardage throw?

There will always be that which someone desires and can not or will not do for himself or herself. With that view the only option is taking. The question is always how.

Disagreements and observations is the lifeblood of the forums so it will always be with us or there wouldn't be a forum to express yourself.

Well I could get along with just about anyone. But if a person disrepects me or screws me over, then no, we cant all just get along.
